SAAFCarb™ MB media contains acid impregnant enhancing the capacity for removal of ammonia and other basic gaseous compounds. The base material includes selected grades of bituminous coal chosen for superior physical properties.

Chemisorption Process

SAAFCarb™ MB media chemisorption process removes impure gases by adsorption, absorption, and chemical reaction. In this process, the gas is trapped within the pellet, where a chemical reaction changes the gases into harmless solids and thereby mitigates the possibility of desorption.

Quality Control

There are many quality control tests which are undertaken by SAAFCarb™ MB media. All these tests are to make sure that the physical as well as chemical properties can play its own role to achieve the performance designed for this media.
